Someone on another forum said God didn't have anything to do with this election...
"Yes He did!" said Duck..."here's how I know..."
"Lift not up your horn on high: speak not with a stiff neck. For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another." Psalms 75:5-7
"Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his: And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:" Daniel 2:20-21
"This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men." Daniel 4:17
"The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will." Proverbs 21:1
"For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king. And Saul said unto Samuel, I have sinned: for I have transgressed the commandment of the LORD, and thy words: because I feared the people, and obeyed their voice. Now therefore, I pray thee, pardon my sin, and turn again with me, that I may worship the LORD. And Samuel said unto Saul, I will not return with thee: for thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, and the LORD hath rejected thee from being king over Israel." 1 Samuel 15:23-26
Bible told me so.

Amen! They probably still didn't believe it though. Jesus said this: (Matthew 13:15) For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.Pay attention to the end of this verse: Jesus promises to heal anyone who turns (converts) to Him.

Christmas Memories...
Long about this time of the year I start to think alot about my Mom and Dad. They met in a field Hospital in France on a Christmas Eve during WWII. My Dad was from Virginia and my Mom from Nebraska. Dad was in the Infantry and Mom the Army Nurse Corps.
Dad had been wounded and was watching it snow thur a window at the hospital. Mom said he looked so sad and Mom invited him to go with her to Midnight Mass. About a year and a half later they were married in Garmish Germany on December 21, 1945. They remained after the war and were in the occupation army in Germany. They returned to the United States in October 1946...just a few days over a year after Mom and Dad were married, I was born on December 24th, 1946... Christmas at my Mom and Dad's was always magical...lights and sounds , smells of Christmas Eve dinner, and the memories seep and tiptoe into my world today on little cat paws...bringing with them smiles and tears. I will be 66 years old this year, I miss my Mom and Dad...It's Christmas.

Hey, I thought that it would be more appropriate for me to post my thoughts here in Duck's cave. Only if Duck approves, that is.
I will always belong to Jesus.
(Romans 8:35) Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
(Romans 8:38) For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
(Romans 8:39) Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Saw this Donna and thought of you...

I attempt to stay away from the news these days. I prefer to focus on my patients.

I am keeping my eyes on God. It is the only way I can continue to take care of my patients, without getting "freaked out" by everything going on in our country.

I think the same thing Donna. Some days it is so depressing to read the news...
leaves ya wondering just how bad it was in the days of Noah and Lot...how much worse than today?

I think the same thing Donna. Some days it is so depressing to read the news... leaves ya wondering just how bad it was in the days of Noah and Lot...how much worse than today? I think that depends on the situation. For example, it appears (to me) that it would be easy (for me) to tolerate the evil of Noah's time period, compared to the evil in this time period. But if the only experiences I had were from Noah's time period, then I think that it would be hard to live through the evil of that time period. Hope I made sense with that explanation.

Now here is the thing that jumped out at me from the book of Jonah today. Jonah thought if he could hide from God and run out the 40 day clock God had set in motion Nineveh would be destroyed and Israel would be safe.
What he wasn't considering is something we so often seem to forget. God loved the Assyrians just as much as He did Jonah and didn't want them to spend eternity in Hell any more than He did Jonah...
So apply that to Ezekiel 38-39 and the same thing is true...we think, "Yeah! Judgemnt is coming and they so deserve it!" But what we forget is that so many of those poor people are going to Hell.
God loves the Iranians, Syrians and all the other people we detest in the Middle East and in other parts of the world. We forget that God loves them just as much as He does us...and doesn't want them to spend eternity in Hell any more than he does us.
Furthermore, He has sent us to spread the Gospel to all people...regardless.
Hard sometimes when we read the headlines, to remember God loves us all.
