Sometimes I think it is a good thing that we don't know what other people are thinking. It might really be a revelation to us. That's the truth!

I am soooo very tired of rude people.
I am tired of people calling me heartless. I need to pay my employees, and I can't do that if people don't pay their bills.

So much rudeness these days. Sorry Donna, that you are a target for people's rudness... We all love ya here at Divine Intervention!
Came to say I am thankful for old friends. A classmate from the graduating Class of 1965, Halifax County High School, started a page on Facebook and one by one friends are inviting friends and almost 150 old classmates have signed up. We have spent the past two weeks getting reconnected and catching up on children and grandchildren. A couple of classmates have great grandchildren! on who did what kind of work and who is retired, and travels, and hobbies!
It has been grand and I have so enjoyed the whole thing.
Well today an old and dear friend showed up...I can't wait to hear all about him, his wife and their exploits. I know they couldn't have children and have been foster parents for years...but haven't heard from Kenny in over 20 years.
and I'll be thinking about you Donna...we lub ya!

and I'll be thinking about you Donna...we lub ya! Thank you! It doesn't take me long to get past things, thank God. So now I'm cheerful again! As long as I can stay in the air conditioning.

My second appointment of the day was a nice man who does not have air conditioning in his vehicle. Poor man, and poor dog (a chocolate Lab named Lucky). I made sure that we took care of things for him quickly.
I would like to thank God for air conditioning. Just imagine what it would be like if you didn't have air conditioning.

This one by Martha just belongs here . . . WARRIOR
I would not falter in my task Because of tears; Time hastens, and I would not waste The fleeting years.
Bind Thou my wounds and let me fight Through noontide's heat; Let sorrow's flood sweep not my soul Down to defeat.
The battle won, Thy hand shall wipe My tears away; But let me fight, not weep, dear Lord, Until that day!

Love this place and all the wonderful brothers and sisters who gather here for fellowship. Reflecting today on how much the Lord has blessed me. So many of us have never even met face to face and yet I have no doubt that when we get to heaven I will be able to pick each and every one of you out. And you better watch out cause that hug is gonna be a doozy!!

Wanna tell a story about the Lord. He is just amazing and I want to tell you about something He did for me.
Had been thru a rough time. Seemed to be trouble and woe on every front, work, a friendship that had gone south, everything. It all seemed to implode on me and I dropped off the face of the earth for a while. Even the internet. I logged off, turned off the light, and closed the door on that room and didn't go in there for several months. Not even to clean...felt like demons coming out of the machinery.
Right when I thought I would never be able to get up again, out of the blue, I got a phone call from an old friend. He said another old friend had come to visit and said it was on his heart to pray for me. He thought maybe there was trouble. So my two friends prayed...
Then the call came...and it lifted me up so! and it was the beginning of a journey back into the light.
The old friends were Bill, Redneck, and Keith. It was Keith who called...
Bill lives in Illinois and Keith in Missouri, and I in Virginia. I have never met either one of them personally and had not had any contact with them in months...
The Lord did that...and I am grateful to the best friend an ole fowl like me could have, better than a brother. Isn't it amazing. We truly are one body. I was hurting and Bill and Keith felt it.
Thanks Jesus for brothers and sisters like Bill and Keith...and for You...

I can relate to your story . . . because I sense it to me similar to mine. I rather dropped off the scene as well, so far as internet chat and fellowship and went and worked in the library. I was sick physically so I couldn't fellowship with God's people, so it was just me . . . the Lord . . . and a bunch of mildewy old books and a typewriter.
Then I met the legend over on facebook and I think you were the first person I asked to be a friend (maybe a co-worker). Anyway, you accepted and sent me an email asking me to come over to Divine Intervention. I was hesitant . . . I think it took a couple of weeks (I did send you a link to Martha's poems) and then you asked if I would bring her over to D.I.
I did, that was then . . . this is now.
I still have my strong convictions (which either got me banned or shunned on previous internet encounters) . . . I just hope the I am a "little" bit wiser in where to get in a sword fight.
You know me . . . I tend to get . . . I think you said earlier . . . preachy.

Anyway, the reason I came up to the cave tonight was to tell a story on my five-year-old grandaughter.
My daughter was visiting the pastor's daughter and GD came upstairs to ask if they were going home soon. Yes, in a little while we will be going back to our house.
Not that one . . . she said, but I want to go to my home in heaven and be with Jesus.
Not yet . . . someday. Well she wanted to go home now.
My daughter told her to go talk to Jesus about it, which she did . . . she came back and said that I could go home to heaven to be with Jesus one day . . . Jesus told me just not yet.
kewl.

Oops, actually, just before you invited me here I did try a go again . . . over at you-know-where (they say they are a christian messageboard) . . . and you can guess how that went. I had to wipe my feet again . . . and I am forever and ever and ever banned from there.
