But be careful. I have worked with people with mental health issues. Very VERY true. There are unique, unpredictable dangers. My goodness, the things that come to their minds. These things seem so strange and can be very destructive to those around the person.

I don't know if this verse is appropriate, but this is how I feel:
[glow=green,2,300](Isaiah 50:7) For the Lord GOD will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed.[/glow]

I know you can handle the job. Lord doesn't give us an assignment and leave us...He also gives us everything we need to do the job.
Just throwing a word of caution out there because well... we are brothers and sisters and we look out for one another...and that includes worry, and fretting, and urging caution...and taking your umbrella on a cloudy day...and always having a hanky...and do alot of praying.

Young man asked Hubby to borrow Hubby's chain saw. Answer was no.................................. Hubby does NOT share his chain saw with ANYONE. Not to mention the fact that the young man is on some heavy duty medicines; a chain saw is far too dangerous for him.

Good move. Heavy drugs and chain saws don't mix. Reminds me of that warning notice - do not use near genitalia or something. heh heh. brrrrrffffffttttttt! But then, we probably don't want people with that level of intelligence breeding.

The thing that gets ya about that warning is that somebody out there in yo yo land has to have tried it for the warning to be there.

Sometimes someone comes along and holds up a mirror to you and you see something in yourself that stops you dead in your tracks...and you take a hard look at something about yourself. Might be something they do or something they say or both, but you really don't like it and almost at once you realize why...because it is something that you do or say...something you think. It is something that is an eye opener. And it is a good thing...a time to grow some. Don't know if anyone has had that experience but although it is embassasing and humbling...it is a good thing. It is spring and time for things to grow some...including sometimes us.

It is so beautiful outside, today. Then I look around me and see terrible things happening, and it makes me long to see Jesus rule the world.
[glow=red,2,300](Romans 8:21) Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
(Romans 8:22) For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
(Romans 8:23) And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.[/glow]
Just a comment. I long to see our Lord rule.

I am finishing up for the day; pretty staightforward day. Nothing special. So, why am I here? Because I can!

Summertime has set in and so the house is closed up against the sun, heat, and humidity. The air is turned up especially for an older and beloved dog, a companion, and best friend named Pete.
Closed up as I am again in my cave of a house there is time to reflect and today it was on how little I really know about what the Bible says. It talks you know. It does, in the quiet moments, and in a howling storm, it will talk to you.
And when you find yourself faced with a situation and on shaky or unknown ground it speaks...volumns. But for it to speak you have to know what it says and so we study.
Was reflecting on times before I retired when I was in situations where I should have been afraid...but wasn't and Steven and Paul came to my mind. Steven could have left that day. He could have walked away and gone home, but he didn't. Instead he delivered one of the most beautiful sermons in the Bible and was stoned to death. But...no where does the text say he was ever afraid.
Same with Paul...he was in situations in which he should have been frozen with fear but the Bible never says he was afraid. Even when he was beaten and left for dead...he got up and went right back to the village where he was beaten so badly.
Strangely enough when I found myself in situations when I should have been very afraid, I wasn't. On one occassion I thought the Lord might have been standing right next to me as I stood all alone facing a tall ominous looking gang member into whose territory I had stepped. I should have been terrified, but wasn't instead I stood and spoke my peice.
What causes courage that that? One word, a Name... will answer that question just like it is the answer to everything. He said He would be with us always, even to the end...and His, is sufficient.
Jesus is the name. Grace is the word.

Here is something else I thought about after the confrontation with the tall, dark, ominous dredlock sporting gang member.
As I looked up into his face...lined by premature age and drug abuse, I thought he was the ugliest human being I had ever seen and thought, "and God loves you?"
The answer came swiftly..."John 3:16. What part of that don't you understand?"
"Nothing." I said. "I understand it."
"Well," He said "I do love him. Do you think I love you more than I do him?"
It is a question that has reoccured to me again over the years since that incident. I answered the Lord that I didn't think he loved me more than He did that man...but I lied.
Even though I knew the truth.
Humbling to realize the truth of the matter.

Sometimes I think it is a good thing that we don't know what other people are thinking. It might really be a revelation to us.
