Yes, God is good Sister Duck. Sunday morning, Sister B's blood sister was there again ( she has not missed a service since she came to see her brother get baptized), during the invitation, she raised her hand admitting she is lost and was asking for prayer. I gave her plenty of time to respond, she just sat there and cried, she never moved. I was worried she might not return, based upon what her sisters tell me, she being very withdrawn and shy.
Sunday evening rolls around, here she comes through the door--- Amen! I noticed, that, while others were testifying she was crying again. The service ended, she still did not respond.
But.
When she walked past me to leave, she shook my hand very differently this time, and had a much more concerned look in her eyes.
I leaned over kinda close and said very softly .. " I'm going to be praying for you"
She grabbed my hand again and with an earnest look on her face and a deeply sincere tone in her voice said "please do"
Dear Lord, tarry just another day, so that dear soul might be saved...
Yes, the Lord is still at work! Halleluler!

I leaned over kinda close and said very softly .. " I'm going to be praying for you" You're not the only one brother. Prayer offered. Let us know... Went to praying right away...she is just on the lip of the fountain... Amen. Like my grandaughter said when she was about 2 years old, "there is power in the mud!" We have since straightened her out on that one... but we still "follow Jesus in a truck and obey"...workin' on that one. kids are great and can shine new light on old things...make you see them new again! ;D Did I tell ya'll I got another grandchild coming in December! Yep! Thank you Lord! I saw a picture of my new baby last week. The pictures they can take now are incredable. They are like photographs. You can see every detail. I saw my new babies face close up, little eyes, a little button nose...sweet little mouth...resting on a tiny arm and hand with tiny little fingers. I can't wait to hold that baby...and pray for him/her and my Becks everyday. "For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well." Psalm 139:13-14 by some standard my family is small...but I thank the Lord for my quiver full...because to me it is full. In the Lord's Name, Amen

Wonderful news, congratulations Granny! ;D And yes, the new imagery that's used now is incredible. The renderings, as you said, are almost like a photograph made in sepia tones. Life before birth? You better believe it... "Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the LORD that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself;" (Isaiah 44:24)

there is a golden hue to the pictures. The first thing I thought was, "must be what angels look like..."
beautiful...Lord is forming that baby in it's mother's womb...my child's child...amazing. The beginnings of life in and of itself is a miracle...Amen! When God breathed life into Adam He breathed life all the way into that tiny child...even more amazing.
"Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high..." Psalm 139:6

This is my oldest child's child. It will probably be their only child as he is 41 and his wife is 40. I keep thinking about Abraham and Sarah. They have lost 3, miscarriages...please pray. They are past the first trimester and my son is finally letting himself get excited. He smiles now most of the time. It is a good thing to see. and it's Grams, Keith... They call ole Duck Grams...

Sister B's sister was there again tonight. The dad of the one I witnessed to last night, told a dear brother.."thank ya'll for talking to my son"
Preached on the "Unsearchable Riches in Christ"
What think ye, when the term unsearchable comes about in relation to Jesus Christ?
Not all at once now!!
go ahead, please share. . .

So many words and phrases to describe the Lamb of God, so little space . . . .
Another precious soul was saved today!!!
Please pray for "Sonny".
He came to the church last Sunday morning and said the preacher scared him real bad. . . .( well, we know and he does too, who was really speaking to his heart) , he said " I'm not going back in there anymore!"
He was back this a.m. ! All this week he said he was at first depressed, and worried, but later he said he realized he was under conviction. . ." I couldn't get rid of it!" he testified..
In the Sunday school lesson the teacher used a verse of Scripture that put the nail in the coffin, he could not take it any longer.... outside he went to get some air, it was then that he could not wait any longer, he called upon the Lord Jesus to save his soul.
He came in and announced what had happened to him to the church---- all on his own!!
What a wonderful Saviour!!! We give Him all the glory!!!

Hi Sista Duck!
thanks for the prayers too!
Been having the battle armour on for several days with another one of those Bible correcting infidels on another board. ( said i was not going to get into that anymore, boy was i wrong)
Anyway, how 'bout some more great news?
Well, to begin with I've been wallowing in the goodness of the Lord like a fat pig in the sunshine over this rain! The grass is green ( not that i like cuttin' it ), the garden is pumping out the fresh veggies; i got a counter full of squash, okra, zuccini, green peps, banana peps, cantaluope, watermelons, and fresh tomatoes- yes God is good!! Amen?
The pea patch is hanging full, the butterbeans are loaded, and the sweetcorn is just about in full swing ( so is my elbows-- he hee).
Now for the best part-- ya got your seat belt on? Don't want you going thru the roof and landing in that silty water below you just yet.
Look back and you'll see the post where "Sister B's" brother got saved.
Well, they have been there every time the doors have been open, and from the first night Ed's wife has been burdened for their family- especially her/their son/s.
Yesterday, i noticed a tall young man came in and sit kinda close to the back of the church about the time the service started. Preached --" Have you settled the "ifs" and the "mights" ?
at the end of the message the invitation was given, and this young fella jumped up like a jack-in-the-box!! Said he needed to get saved! Brother DRI (member of this board, but silent) dealt with him in a closed room. He came out of the room and went straight over to Ed ( sister B's brother) and his wife--- now you talkin' 'bout some shouting in that corner!!!!!!!!!!!
I was wetting my whistle out in the hall when Sister Mary ( Ed's wife came running out in the hall and nearly squoze me in half. She was just a hollerin' " Thank you Lord! for saving my son!!"
it was one of the "sons" she had been calling out for prayer for salvation for weeks!!! His name -- Ray, please pray for his growth in the Lord.
Okay, hold on, now this a.m. Brother DRI calls me and says " are you ready for some more great news?"
"yessirreee" i said back.
" I just came from Ed and Mary's place, their son that got saved yesterday, was talking to his friend about what had happened to him Sunday morning. His friend got so shook up- he wanted to be saved too!! and i just led him to the Lord!!"
Woooooooooo Hoooooooooo!!! My cup runneth over!
I've been saved since 1992, and in all honesty, and with as much sincerity as I can muster-- I have never seen nor been involved in anything like this!!
